I do this in powder form. Baking soda and washing soda. 2tbsp per large load. Eliminates smells, great for sensitive skin, cheap, soft clothes.

I use a mix of washing soda, baking soda, and epsom salt w/ some essential oil for scent. I leave it dry and toss it in, works great!
