Another nice piece of design on that cross walk: pinch point! Narrow the perceived road width and cars slow down.

I believe a good idea is a reverse speed table. People still fly over speed humps, but if there is a ditch in the road... people would slow down

our towns been putting effort into pedestrian accessiblity so all crossings near the main street have flashing lights. very effective imo
