@theworldwithangelina: I never thought I'd ever land a double axel again. 🤯 After retirement, I just didn't care to maintain this jump. A few months ago, I got the urge to try it again and boy was it painful to start it up again. 😅 Realistically, I knew it had been two years since I even tried this jump, and being out of training, it was going to take a lot of practice. Unfortunately, I stopped trying double axels after a week due to a concussion. 🤕 Fast forward 3 months, I haven't jumped since before my injury, but with some good peer pressure from my friends, I try it again and land it! 🥳 It's a whole different feeling than when I landed it the very first time. It's accomplishing for sure, but it's more nostalgic than anything. 🤗 It's like I've gotten a part of my childhood back. It's also different because there's no pressure to land or keep this jump. It's not like I compete anymore.
