Hope for Zimbabwe Children volunteer , Mr Chinake today visited Fadzai and her mother (Manyara) in Centenary . Hope for Zimbabwe Children founder then sent us$210 to Manyara Yadyo through ecocash in the presence of MrChinake and she confirmed the transaction . The mother said she will see where to start first and will update us with progress. Thank you so much all wishers . Your help is greatly appreciated. *Personal Profile* Miss Fadzai Yadyo is a 17 year old female residing in Centenary. She suffers from an imperforate hymen and the condition is called hematometrocolpos. It is a female genital abnormality where the hymen completely obstructs the vaginal opening. Due to this condition she has developed sharp stomach pains. *Family Background* Fadzai stays with her biological mother Ms Manyara Yadyo and her little brother aged twelve (12) years.They are tenants living in a one roomed house .Her father passed away . *Economic Background* Ms Yadyo works as a housemaid .She was once self employed, selling vegetables and fruits at a market before she became a housemaid. She works hard to ensure the well being of her two children, but her earnings are not enough to meet Fadzai’s medical bills.Ms Yadyo’s brother helps with footing clinical bills at times. Health Challenges Fadzai 's health challenges started in 2020 when she was in grade 7. It all started as normal stomach pains but the pain deteriorated into sharp excruciating pain. She was taken to hospital where she was diagnosed with hematometrocolpos. Hematometrocolpos has resulted in Fadzai having extreme sharp stomach pains to the extent of not being able to do anything that requires energy.The chronic pain does not subside after taking painstops .The pain she feels is so acute such that when she is in pain she wriggles and screams due to extreme discomfort. Her mother fears that if she keeps on taking the tablets they would harm her. The pain is so severe that she fails to sleep at times. Due to this condition she cannot walk long distances , thus she spends most of her time home or in bed. *Medical History* Fadzai has had three surgeries .The surgeries were done at government hospitals for free using a letter provided by social welfare services.Her first operation was done in Mvurwi early 2021 but the condition did not change.Her second surgery was done in Bindura end of 2021 after the hymen had returned to its original position .The condition did not change again . She had her third surgery in 2022 at Parirenyatwa hospital in Harare ,the hymen returned to the original position again .Nothing changed after the surgeries performed on her. *Social Challenges* Fadzai stopped going to school when she was in Form 2 in 2022 because the stomach pains were too extreme and she could not walk long distances.She barely has friends because she is in pain most of the time .Due to the mother having to go to work and her little brother to school , Fadzai is mostly home alone.She is a very intelligent lady with a desire to pursue education and go back to school but because of her condition ,it is too challenging and difficult for her to attend school. *Accomodation* The Yadyo family is living under unbearable conditions as tenants in one room. *Assistance Needed* Fadzai’s condition is dire and needs urgent medical attention.
