I dont agree. I have an honours degree in geology and struggled for yrs. most of the ones that got jobs had bursaries from mining companies

The market at some point got super saturated with geologists and companies need very few and if they don’t move, there are no gaps to fill

I then enrolled for honours in env management and thats what got me employment. And many others ended up in teaching or other fields
