@untoldmysteries: Alonzo Brooks (23) body was found dumped in a creek, a month after his “friends” left him alone at a house party. On April 3rd, 2004 Alonzo told his mother he was going to a house party for a party with his friend Justin Sprague. The party was located in a small, predominantly white, country town in La Cygne, MO. La Cygne is an hour away from Gardner, MO where Alonzo lived. Alonzo, Daniel Fune, and Tyler Broughard all rode together with Justin to the party. The friends stated Alonzo was the only black person at the party, and noticed that some people at the party had a noticeable issue with that. Friends stated a confrontation did occur between Alonzo, and another unnamed man at the party. Later, Daniel and Tyler decided to leave the party early. Justin admits he also left the party just to go grab cigarettes, and somehow got lost on his way to the main road. Justin claims he called a mutual friend at the party to insure Alonzo had a ride home. Alonzo never came home, and his family drove to La Cygne to file a missing persons report the next day. April 4th, 2004 deputies went out, searched the property, and the creek behind the property and did not find Alonzo. KBI, FBI, and rescue and dive team also searched the property and still no success in locating him. May 1st, 2004 the police finally allowed his family to search the property, and ironically his body was immediately found at the bottom of the creek.
