Three former Oklahoma nursing home employees have been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to elder abuse and conspiracy for recording disturbing Snapchat videos involving elderly residents, including footage of vulnerable patients and images mocking a deceased woman. The former employees—22-year-old McKenzie Bolfa, 23-year-old Aubrey Granata, and 23-year-old Jade Williams—worked at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie. Bolfa and Granata were each sentenced to 10 years in prison, while Williams is serving a 12-year sentence handed down last year. The three also face civil lawsuits filed on behalf of the victims. The investigation began in April 2024 after a former coworker received a Snapchat video allegedly showing Bolfa manipulating the pubic hair of a female resident while Williams recorded and Granata laughed in the background. According to investigators, the resident was partially unclothed and appeared motionless. The recipient reported the video to nursing home administrators, who then contacted police. During questioning, Bolfa denied knowing why investigators wanted to speak with her and claimed she had simply been helping clean a resident. She also insisted any laughter heard in the video was part of a lighthearted interaction with the patient. Police said those explanations did not match the evidence they uncovered. After searching the suspects’ phones, detectives said they discovered additional videos and photos showing residents in degrading and private situations, including while using the bathroom or partially undressed. Investigators also found an image allegedly showing Bolfa posing beside a deceased resident while mimicking the woman’s facial expression. White previously pleaded guilty to theft of government property.
