Fun fact - it isn't just government subsidies. Grocery conglomerates have entered into dairy distribution to more easily loss-lead

what I've noticed is that oat milk has been 2x cost of milk, and now milk is $4/gal of the cheapest stuff

I'm so grateful we have this German oat milk, it costs about a dollar and is way better than most alternatives.

it's not just subsidies but also the companies knowing that the ppl who buy oat milk will and can pay more for it vs dairy milk drinkers

It’s the “vegan tax”, just buy some oats and milk them at home.

Subsidies don’t account for it. Oats as a commodity are way cheaper than almonds, yet oat and almond milk are at price parity.
