I work in a hospital throwing away a bedpan. Wiping down the screen and changing the sharps box take 1 minute they shouldn’t not be doing those jobs

I’ve been in NHS hospitals many times, and one thing I can say for sure is that they are clean. The wards are kept tidy and hygienic, the bathrooms are clean, and overall the standards are high. I don’t know which ward or which hospital you were in, but this is something I’ve never experienced, and I’ve stayed in different hospitals. One more thing I can say is that NHS hospitals also have very good catering.

Sorry but this is reality. We are tryin our best with the resources we have. Nursing staff on my ward have to do the cleaning as well (if we get time)

As someone who works in healthcare this is unacceptable. It doesn’t take two seconds to wipe up blood or to close and take away a sharps bin. 😬
