I use to get strep throat all of the time and I had ice cream and popsicles and the coldness helped a lot

lots of sleep, fluids, popsicles! Had my tonsils removed for this reason but those always helped me

I had the exact same thing happened to me well actually just found out yesterday I have strep and I went to Urgent Care they did a rapid test to see and they gave me amoxicillin which helped because my tonsils were almost touching

If he has a cough it’s not strep. If not it’s possible it’s strep but it requires antibiotics. Without antibiotics it can have long effects
