This 2007 Lotus Exige S is finished in Storm Titanium Metallic and shows less than 16,150 miles on the odometer. With only two owners from new, the car is in very good condition and was serviced by a marque expert less than 2,000 miles ago. The Exige is fitted from the factory with revised bodywork that creates nearly 100 lbs of downforce at 100 mph, giving it far greater high-speed stability than the Elise, which produces just 13 lbs at the same speed. To keep the weight down, the interior of the Exige is stripped down with bare aluminum covering most of the car’s inside. A set of ultra-thin bucket seats are wrapped in leather and are more aggressive than those found in the Elise. This car does benefit from the upgraded sound system and optional carpeted floor mats, which both help add a bit of civility to the car and make it a more pleasant place to spend time. A 1.8 liter DOHC Toyota Inline-4 sits longitudinally behind the passenger compartment and, in the Exige S, is topped with an intercooled Roots-style supercharger. Running 7 psi of boost, power is up from 190 to 220 horsepower and torque from 138 lb-ft to 159 lb-ft. Although this doesn’t sound like a massive increase, more power is available everywhere in the rev range, and with the additional supercharger whine behind your head, you will want to rev the car out at every opportunity. Due to crash regulations, the Elise and Exige left the United States market in 2011. Unfortunately, this lightweight formula is one that manufacturers will likely never be able to replicate here, making these cars the end of the line for proper “no concessions” driver’s cars. This example is perhaps the best of the breed and is offered in excellent overall condition and a great color combination. Seller Asking: $67,500 Available at ISSIMI.com #lotuscars #lotusexige #lotusexiges #exige #ISSIMIofficial #ISSIMImeccanica
