@kylenct: I made a video a few days back saying I wouldn’t cry on my birthday this year and I stuck with that resolution haha. I had such a great lowkey day with family/ the people I love most. I’ve cried on my birthday for the last 6 (!) years and reflected on why: I am not usually good at living in the moment and instead stress about the future and compare myself to others mercilessly. I’ve always been so hung up on the thought that I haven’t accomplished enough for my age etc, but this year I just wanted to be free of that mindset and enjoy a day where I don’t judge myself, and actively remind myself that I’m still so fucking young and have my entire life ahead of me.
