Yep! I had this happen for a bigger role. Didn’t get it…then the company made me train the external person they hired lmao. Yes, I left shortly after.

I was put through 3 intense interviews w/ ppl I worked alongside and a project for them just to announce the new outside person for the role on slack before even telling me I didn’t get it. I was gone so quick.

Yeah no it was definitely just watching them fill the role with an outside hire after dragging me, as a 5+ year employee, through 3+ rounds of grueling interview and realizing they don’t actually value me or my time.
