@sooziethefoodie: Today I tried a plant that I have never seen/ heard of- it’s called an ice plant! It has little crystals filled with salt water that makes the plant look like it’s permanently frozen 🤯 It has a salty flavor with hints of citrus and the texture is crunchy! This is hands down the coolest green I have ever seen in my life! I paired the ice plant with a tapioca sheet that I fried and shaped into a shell type of vibe. I love tapioca sheets because they are clear when fried like ice 🧊 Then I made a quick dressing with truffle soy sauce and lychee vinegar- the taste of the ice plant is super pleasant so I kept it simple to avoid overpowering it. Finally I pulled out one of my favorite tricks and make toasted horseradish as the crispy component and used pomegranate and horned melon as the sweet part. I was super fortunate to get the most beautiful pansy I have ever seen to garnish this dish with along with other edible flowers! I am soooo happy with how this turned out. Also if I sound sleepy in this I just finished recording my voiceover it 12:20 AM here and I keep falling alseep so apologies in advance I promise I was super excited with this whole process 😍❤️ #TikTokTaughtMe #PlantTok #iceplant
