@richubiriyani786: Bring on the flavours this Pongal with this healthy and delicious Millet Sakkarai Pongal Millet Sakkarai Pongal Recipe: Thinai/ Foxtail Millet - ½ Cup Moong Dal - 2 tbsp Jaggery - 1 Cup Water - 1 Cup + ¾ Cup Cardamom Powder - ¼ tsp Nutmeg Powder - 1 pinch Raisins - 2 tbsp Cashews - 2 tbsp Milk - 1 Cup Ghee - ¼ Cup Salt - 1 pinch Instructions: 1. In a pan dry roast the moong dal and Thinai and set aside 2. In a pressure cooker add the roasted dal and millet and 1 Cup water and milk and add a pinch of salt to it and pressure cook for 4 whistles on a medium flame 3. In a pan add jaggery and ¾ Cup water and heat until the jaggery completely dissolves, strain the liquid and set aside 4.bOnce the thinai and moong dal are done cooking pour the jaggery water and mash until thick and creamy 5. In a pan heat ghee and fry cashews until golden, switch off the flame and add raisins and wait till they puff up and add that also to the pongal and mix thoroughly 6.
