@edgarsmission: 600 roosters rescued from cruelty & neglect! 🐔 On Wednesday, January 18th at 4:40pm, the final rooster was liberated from his cage as part of "Operation Mini." Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to save 600 Silkie roosters who were slated for slaughter due to abandonment. These chickens were raised for their black flesh and bones and were previously kept in small, inhumane cages in an unsanitary and ammonia-filled shed. While homes were found for the hens, the roosters were left without a place to go. The sight of these innocent birds finally feeling the sun and soil beneath their feet for the first time, after spending their entire lives in cruel and inhumane conditions, is a moment we will never forget. It's truly a testament to the power of kindness and the impact that one person can make in the lives of animals. However, our work is not yet done, as we are now tasked with finding loving forever homes for these roosters. We are calling out to all kind-hearted individuals who can provide them with the love and care they deserve. Please contact us at [email protected] or 0408 397 301 if you are interested in providing a safe and loving home to roosters in need. 🙏 We would like to remind you that due to restrictions of many councils, roosters sadly cannot be kept in suburban areas. We are located in Victoria, Australia. And finally, we couldn't have done this without the support of our kind community, and we are so incredibly grateful for your continued support in helping us make a difference for these innocent birds. Together, we can create a kinder world for all living beings. ❤️ #animalrescuer #rescueanimals #tiktokforgood #tiktokpartner #friendsnotfood #farmsanctuary #rooster
