@thatfitagvocate: No matter the type of beef that you choose to enjoy, we are just happy that you’re consuming beef in today’s world of fake meat and meat alternatives.🥩👏🏼 I just ask that you learn the true differences and not just misconceptions. On our farm, we feed corn so we offer grain fed beef. We have a 4 step system to finishing cattle. These rations are specifically formulated by a nutritionist to meet all of their needs. As they move through the process (aka get older), the forages slowly decrease and the grain increases. Step 1 = starter ration Step 2 = grower ration Step 3 = grower ration with some finishing Step 4 = finishing ration in final few months Even with this last group of “fat cattle” that we have on feed, they’re still consuming a TMR that includes hay, cornstalks, etc. in addition to corn Moral of the story? Corn fed/grain fed/grain finished beef still consumes forages throughout their entire life cycle!
