Hello, two weeks ago I was given an Oceanic BioCube 29-gallon aquarium (model 29A, 120 V/60 Hz, SN:0009456, made in China), which already has the pump working after cleaning it, a heater installed, filter media like balls and sponges, and its lid (although it apparently was missing one of the lights). I also bought beneficial bacteria and dechlorinator to start the cycling process. This is the first time I’m starting a project like this, and my goal is to set it up as a planted freshwater aquarium with compatible tropical fish (such as female bettas). I would like you to tell me what I would need to buy (substrate, plants, fertilizers, proper lighting, filtration improvements if needed, compatible fish, useful accessories, etc.), and if possible, provide estimated prices including shipping to Milwaukee, Wisconsin—I’m just looking for information on what’s needed, with no purchase commitment for now.
