I wrap mine warm straight from the oven to lock in all steam escaping. Keeping it moist. Then I let it cool in the wrapping. Then to my freezer.

If I bake them the night before do I need to freeze them or will the fridge work.. might be like a 16 hour gap from baking to decorating

That’s exactly what I do too. But after I just leave them on the counter so all the moisture stays on thd cake
