I don't know how it lasts without alcohol. My aunt made Christmas cake once and tripled the recipe by mistake. She kept adding rum and the cakes last

Here in Sydney the D&G Pannetone alone was atleast $150 AU and the spread atleast $35 AU … but those patterned boxes & tins are 👍🏼👍🏼

My Italian nana always had a bunch of these around Christmas time. I equated it to fruitcake… I don’t love it plain but makes a decent bread pudding!
