I was “whiskey 2a” that day. Trapped inside the vehicle entrapment area to the WSA, with nowhere to run, as I watched that massive bomber crash.

A few things you forgot to mention. This pilot had already been spoken to about bank angles. The B52’s wing design is unstable at high banks.
