@otter.run.oasis: One of our projects we took on was "regreening" our high desert land and trying to create a permaculture food forest. The first step is to retain water which we are doing by creating big swales and trying to get grasses and other beneficial ground cover established. The second step is to build the soil nutrients which the ground cover will help with but we've also added a lot of organic materials to the berms and surrounding areas. I'd also like to get some beneficial perennials established this year! Here is what we have done so far and some seeds I've started buying for spring planting. Stay tuned! ✨✨✨ #desertoasis #manifestingmagik #dreamscometrue #Sustainability #watercatchmentsystem #newmexicogardener #pitgreenhouse #visionboard #offgridfamily #offgridhome #naturalbuilding #bioconstruction #permaculturedesign #regreening #greeningthedesert #nitrogenfixers #groundcover #nativeperennials #gardenplanning2023 #seedsavers #nativetiktok #pollinatorgarden #swales #swalesoncontour #desertificiation #regenerativeagriculture #agroculture #fruittreeguild #regreeningthedesert #newmexico #taosnewmexico #highdesertgarden

I have water running through in my backyard in the high desert and want to turn it into a little farm. Is that what you’re doing? Looks like a little creek
