@basketball_missionary: Here’s a drill for group or team training I use to improve: decision-making, player movement, slow players down (pace) & get in shooting reps/reads. Here’s the drill breakdown & the WHY… The Drill: 3 players (top & wings) & coach is on baseline with 2 bballs. Ball starts at the top player passes to a wing & sets pick n roll (PNR) & opens up. Wing man re-drives & kicks to opposite wingman & sets PNR. Once the final wingman comes off the PNR that is when the “read & decision” happens. The coach has 2 bballs & can pass to any 2 players. If there is an open man the ball handler reads and passes to that player. If both wings revive a pass from coach then the ball handler keeps ball & shoots. All 3 players will get a shot. The WHY: This drill helps players understand spacing, player movement & most importantly how to read & decide quickly. This will force your decision making player to slow down, scan reads & play with pace. So many drills are designed for just iso situations rather then allowing players to improve all aspects of their skillset (passing, spacing, reads, etc). Here’s a good one if you’ve got a group. 🏀🧪 #basketballtraining #basketballdrills #basketballtrainer
