The compound vanillin, extracted from the Vanilla plant is used for things like flavoring ice cream, making candies, sweetening soft drinks, in baking, and more! I always choose vanilla over caramel bc vanilla comes from a plant and caramel is made from cooking down butter and sugar. Annually, 3500 tones of vanilla are produced alone in the USA. You need a process called culture in vitro, which is basically growing the seeds in a sterile environment with a medium that will allow them to grow - agar and other nutrients that you then transfer as the seeds grow. Best done in a lab but we try what is difficult. So let’s see if we can achieve the target.
