over the past 250.000 years, .. we've been the same. humans. it took us 2000 years to go from the end of the Roman Empire (which turned into the Roman Catholic Church) to create atomic weapons and the internet and IC chip technology. 12800 years ago an asteroid split up and smashed the North American Polar Ice Cap and melted the water in only weeks... only the massive monuments are still here. Gobekli Tepe, Giza, Mexico City, Machu Picchu and all the other sites long gone...
