@palmtreesandpellegrino: HOW TO DIY A GOLD FRAME 🎨 This gold mirror came with our new house and while we loved the shape, we didn’t love the color! Here’s everything you need for a similar project: 1️⃣ Sandpaper - 220 grit finish. 2️⃣ Primer - @rustoleum Chalk paint primer in white or black depending on how dark you want the undertone of your frame. (This is actually easier to get in a spray paint but since the mirror was glued to the wall we went with normal paint. 3️⃣ Matte Gold Paint - This was the overall undertone for the mirror. It helped to get the metallic finish to “stick.” We bought a sample of the @behrpaint Rococo Gold at @homedepot 4️⃣ Americana Deco Art for the top finishes (we bought these at @michaelsstores ) - we bought the color “bronze” for the corners, and the color “champagne gold” for the rest of the mirror. We did mix some of the bronze into the gold to give it a warmer / darker tone!
