He does great in doggie playgroup. Pinky is a loose-leash walker and knows sit and down. He’s very treat-motivated and has shown good manners on walks. He can be a little jumpy when excited, but is easily redirected. After a few weeks in foster, Pinky returned with even better impulse control and less jumping on walks. He’s a fast learner and clearly enjoys being around his people. Outside of his kennel, Pinky is a happy dog, with a loose, wiggly body and lots of love to give. Pinky will be euthanized because he has shown fear, anxiety, and stress (FAS) in the shelter. This behavior includes spinning, barking, jumping, and occasional mouthy behavior such as leash biting. In February, while being returned to his kennel, Pinky bit a staff member on the arm, causing a small puncture. Pinky is about 2 years old and 54 lbs. He is chronically underweight and has intermittent diarrhea and currently eats a special diet with B12 and a probiotic. His future adopter/rescue should be prepared to continue working with a veterinarian on his ongoing GI needs.
