@carnaldish: How to make garlic confit! aaaaand how to store it in your freezer so that you ALWAYS have some on hand for recipes. Slow roast your naked cloves in a low 250°F oven, in a vessel that will hold however much you’re roasting, and bake until golden. times will vary. this was 3lbs of garlic in a 4qt dutch oven that took about 1.5’ish hours. This stuff is delicious, I don’t even have to explain that to you. Roasted garlic is an amazing ingredient to keep at all times. but i bet some of you didn’t know you can freeze it! this comes in handy when you don’t feel like roasting garlic every single time a recipe calls for it. you can freeze it however you prefer, but i love to use a silicone mold (this one was purchased from Amazon, size is 1-inch by 1.6-inch, and holds a tablespoon) and then pop them into a freezer until i’m ready to use them. they melt damn near on contact, so keep them frozen. the real added bonus is all of that LOVELY garlic oil you’ll have leftover 🥹🔥🙌🏾 you can cook with it, make dressings/marinades, finish dishes with it…endless possibilities. just keep the oil stored in an AIRTIGHT container for up to a week so it doesn’t go rancid, otherwise freeze it. just wanted to share with y’all 🥰 oh and Big Ass Salad Sunday will probably get posted tomorrow lol. #g#garlicg#garlicconfith#howtomakeroastedgarlicb#bigbatchroastedgarlicr#roastedgarlicpureer#roastedgarlicg#garlicpureef#freezergarlicconfitc#confitgarlicc#carnaldishh#howtoconfitgarlicv#vampiresbewareg#garlicoilr#roastedgarlicoilc#confitgarlicoilg#garlicconfitrecipeg#garlicconfitoilt#tipsandtricksgarlichack #garlichacks
