shouldn't put oil based over water based. most primers are pretty translucent. probably wouldn't been fine with a top coat after the kilz 2 or 3

Zinnser Cover Stain is basically BIN, but oil based. It is the ONLY primer I use. It is less than HALF the cost of bin. 😁

Kiilz Max or now it's called Kilz Restoration would have also worked and without the smell of the oil Kilz origina. Kilz is an awesome product.

Kiltz latex work just as good so you don’t have to use the oil

yesss love the kilz! our walls were gross bc there were 5 dogs. it gets rid of any smells trapped in as well!!
