To be fair, when they started to appeared all those shops named themselves “bazar chino” so it was just a shorter version and i gets it stuck 😓

when I go to an Italian Restaurant I say "vamos a un italiano" so when I go to those shops I say "vamos al chino" I don't see the negative connotation

Well to the Irish pubs we call it Irlandés (Irish), and we say “ir al irlandés” (go to the irish) and is not racist or negative either
