The last time I had Salisbury steak was one of those tv dinners back in like ‘98. Then, I cooked up this recipe the other night and I’ll just say it won’t be that long of a drought before I have Salisbury steak again—so good! Let’s get to it! STEAK INGREDIENTS: •2 eggs •1/2 cup milk •3 tbsp ketchup •1 tsp Italian seasoning •1 tsp garlic powder •1 tsp onion powder •1 tsp mustard powder •1 tbsp Worcestershire •1/4 tsp black pepper •3/4 cup bread crumbs •1 tbsp olive oil •1.5 pounds ground beef GRAVY INGREDIENTS: •1 tbsp olive oil •1 yellow onion, sliced thin •1 small package mushrooms •5 cloves garlic •2 tbsp flour •1 tsp salt •1 tsp mustard powder •1/2 tsp garlic powder •1/2 tsp onion powder •2 tbsp butter •2 cups beef broth •2 tsp Worcestershire sauce DIRECTIONS: 1.) mix together all first ingredients except olive oil, breadcrumbs, beef. Mix breadcrumbs together with beef. Pour egg and milk mixture over beef and mix until combined. 2.) form beef into patty’s. Pour olive oil into a pan over medium high heat. Add patty’s to pan and cook until both sides have a nice sear. About 3-4 minutes each side. Remove from pan and set aside. 3.) add remaining olive oil to pan and add in onions and mushrooms. Cook over medium heat until softened. Add in remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
