@growithjessie: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the world of pomegranate farming. Where one (wo)man’s trash is another’s treasure. 🪰 If you want to grow pomegranate successfully, just know you’ll want to do it where the sun is hot and the bugs are pesky. First things first, you'll need to collect the seeds from a ripe pomegranate. Now, I know this sounds easy, but let me tell you, it's a seed-by-seed battle. And, once you've actually got your seeds, you'll want to clean them thoroughly. This will help prevent the seeds from molding and hindering the little tails process. Next, you'll want to put your seeds in a bowl of water and let them soak overnight. Now, I know this sounds simple, but be careful, because one wrong move and your seeds will float away. You can also use the floating seed test to see which seeds will have a shot at sprouting - place your seeds in a glass of water and the ones that sink to the bottom are viable for growing. The ones that float will not grow. Once they've soaked, you'll want to place them on a piece of damp paper towel, fold that up, and seal it in a glass jar (or a baggie). Just make sure the container or baggie is sealed tightly. And you’ll want to ensure your paper towel stays moist throughout this process, so shpritzing it a few times a day will help a lot. Once tails grow after around 1-2 weeks, you can plant the little tails in soil and water it every 3 days. And finally, the waiting game begins. Just keep an eye on them and wait for those little sprouts to pop up. And, when they do, you'll be rewarded with the excitement of new life, and the potential for a bountiful pomegranate harvest. So, if you're looking for a new hobby, or just want to add some excitement to your life, I highly recommend germinating pomegranate seeds. It's a sprout-tacular adventure. #pomegranate
