I couldn’t afford to rent in my area. My mortgage is nearly half of what the average rent is.

It’s not half right it’s right. Rent these days is so high there’s nothing left. My home payments are less than local rent rates.

This sounds like a good idea BUT how the rent market is at the moment, it would cost me the same to rent as my current mortgage due to interest rates!
