By the third generation almost everyone speaks English only. It's the same with any immigrant group from anywhere in the world.

Even as a Half-Mexican, I felt I was supposed to know Spanish. Still, my dad never taught me like he was supposed to and all his family disappointed.

I’m bilingual with parents from Mexico who came through Texas. Don’t let people discourage u learning Spanish, it takes time, but keep persisting.
