You could also apply a tiny amount of high quality conductive grease to the intermittent contact pin.

I did that to a fuel relay socket and it drove me nuts - replaced the fuel pump 2x.

Take the cover off the pin side of the engine ecu, and with a small pair of needle nose gently squeeze the female terminal back to size.

That was a huge thing Ford drilled about. They give you a connector pin testing kit when you pass communication certs
