Only 16 states have state pledges. Most of them are Republican states with only Michigan,New Mexico, & VA being the outliers

We moved from Louisiana to Texas a few years ago and were shocked about the TX pledge. I told my kids to take a knee😂 My husband was raised here and had never heard of this

At my East Coast high school, we didn’t say the Pledge of Allegiance, but we did do Morning Prayers, & Mass/Chapel 4-ish times a Month.

Every Monday we used to sing the national anthem the CNMI anthem and say the pledge of allegiance. Then Tuesday we had to do Calisthenics 🙃
