You can deny contrast for CT or MRI even if the doctor say it’s required.

Not all MRI contrast agents contain Gadolinium. Mostly the ones used to scan brains and blood vessels. Even then it’s not certainly Gadolinium.

It depends on what type of contrast is used because of the chemical bond in the contrast medium with Gadolinium. As I work with MRI and Gadolinium.

what would you suggest ct scan? they do that with and without contrast as well and it exposes me to more radiation.

That saggital image of the brain is actually NOT Gad. That’s a T2 sequence in which the CSF, fluid, in the brain is bright lol
