The expiration date is from the bag, if you buy the spinach and it was not in the freezer you can eat it without worry

i work in a fruit n veg store it’s only expired if it’s slimy - that’s a best before date - completly disregard it

once you open it, something about oxygen that makes it “spoil” faster. The solution is to place paper towel to absorb the moisture
