@leadershipmel: Do you have a job plan or a career plan? Many people who have a job plan THINK they have a career plan. Here’s the difference… A job plan is focused on your goals for growth in the company you’re in right now. The objective of a job plan is to optimize your performance in the job so you can get promoted… get a raise… whatever. The upside of a job plan is it’s very focused. The downside is it’s very limiting. The minute you get a bad boss or you lose your job, you’re lost… you’re not sure what to do next. A career plan is higher-order to a job plan. A career plan looks at what you want to achieve in your career overall regardless of the company you work for. It doesn’t depend on a boss or company to fulfill your goals. A career plan uses your current job as a tool or a conduit to get the growth you need to keep moving towards your goal… even if that means in another company. At the end of the day, if you don’t have a career plan, then your limiting the possibilities for your future success. #leadershi#leadershiptoki#leadershipr#bealeaderi#leadershipskillse#executivecoache#corporatelifen#successincorporate #worklifea#careerplan#boss
