my opinion you should used stainless hydraulic fitting. and put the male on the deck plate.

try hydraulic fitting for the quick connections. air fitting will get gummed up and not come apart if not used much

I used Hydraulic fittings on my pete because Missouri dot gave me shit about the air fittings. the flat faced one like on a skid steer

I’d put female ends on trailer lines I had one that didn’t connect 100% and came apart brakes came on rite away other way you would know leaking air

If you take a push on long 33 mm Lugnut cover and a small piece of foam it will go right on and stay that is the way I keep mine on@
