Defence attorney Kevin J. Reddington successfully argued during an emergency hearing Friday in Plymouth District Court for a psychologist to examine Clancy in her Boston hospital room. Reddington said the defence plans to argue Clancy was not criminally responsible for her children's deaths because she was involuntarily intoxicated on medications. Reddington said his client was taking a dozen medications when her children di3d. Clancy is recovering in a Boston hospital, where Reddington said she is unable to walk. Medical experts have said Clancy was likely suffering from postpartum psychosis — an intense mental illness — when she allegedly strangl3d her three children to death before attempting suicid3. The incident happened during a 20-minute period while her husband was picking up dinner and medications on Jan. 24, Reddington said. A funeral was held on Friday 3rd 2023, for the three children who were allegedly kill3d by their mother, Lindsay Clancy, last month. Five-year-old Cora Clancy, 3-year-old Dawson Clancy and 8-month-old Callan Clancy were found inside their Duxbury home on Jan. 24. The two older children were pronounced d3ad at the hospital that night, and the youngest child di3d on Jan. 27. The funeral for the children was held on Friday at St. Mary of the Nativity in Scituate. Rev.
