@kookmutsjes: Today’s kitchen: Linguine with merguez in tomato sauce - This delicious and simple meal is perfect for a quick and stress-free dinner | ❤️ PASTA ▫️water ▫️200 gr linguine ▫️salt MERGUEZ MIXTURE ▫️450 gr merguez (chicken) ▫️25 ml olive oil ▫️25 gr unsalted butter ▫️45 gr red onion (half red onion) ▫️50 gr tomato paste ▫️150 ml pasta water ▫️2 gr onion powder (⅔ tsp) ▫️2 gr garlic powder (⅔ tsp) ▫️2 gr cayenne pepper (⅔ tspn) ▫️1 gr dried parsley (1 tsp) ▫️0.5 gr Italian herbs ▫️2 gr salt (⅓ tsp) ▫️200 ml whipped cream ▫️15 gr honey Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add salt and linguine. Stir well. Cook for 11-13 minutes. Carefully remove 150 ml of the pasta water from the pot and set it aside. Drain the remaining water. Put the merguez in a pan with the olive oil and cook over medium heat until done. Remove the merguez from the pan and cut into small pieces. Heat the butter in the same frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the red onion and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the tomato paste, pasta water, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, dried parsley, Italian herbs and salt. Cook for 1 minute. Add the unwhipped cream and mix well until combined. Add the merguez and honey. Cook until the sauce has thickened. Scoop the linguine into a plate and top with the merguez in tomato sauce.
