My gramps did this once on a ship he served on. We had to call him and ask where he was because he knew it better than the museum staff.

I did this by accident when someone didn’t put the chain back on on the Texas. I ended up in some very dark rusty spaces around the engine room.

we had a slip and fall into one of our engineering spaces and it takes several fire trucks personnel equipment and a Stokes basket to get you out
