Love Joe Abercrombie! I would argue his "sequel" trilogy of Best Served Cold, The Heroes, and Red Country is even better!

I feel like Joe Abercrombie is a more organized GRRM. He tells his story with those characters and any deviations are just other books

problem is that there is a lot of story to be told at the end of the trilogy and the next book takes place like 20 years later with NO RESOLUTION
