When I was 10, I chose to not have this type of intervention. Instead, my surgeon remove the excess skin around the nail on both sides of the toe.

Just got mine removed today, the numbing was honestly the most painful part but it was VERY minimal! I’m a huge sissy when it comes to needles but it didn’t hurt that bad. If you’re considering it, DO IT!! Worth it!
