During 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, we are running the "16 Days of Kwanele" campaign, which aims to onboard more women and girls onto our innovative reporting and evidence-storing app, collaborating with various organizations, stakeholders, and companies. This strategic move is designed to enhance safety during the vulnerable 'offline' period in December when cases often go unreported and unheard. Kwanele's mobile application and AI chatbot, ChatGBV, play pivotal roles in increasing reporting rates for GBV in South Africa. The app, crafted with the survivor's journey in mind, serves as a vital resource hub, offering a safe space for survivors to access information, connect with relevant services, and navigate the legal processes following instances of GBV. During the 16 Days of Activism, Kwanele is partnering with various organizations, stakeholders, and companies to expand the reach of its mobile app, ensuring that more individuals can benefit from its capabilities. We are dedicated to breaking down barriers and making the app accessible to all, especially those in low-income communities, with its data-free functionality. Kwanele's mission during these 16 Days of Activism is to encourage more women, girls, and anyone in need to download the app, connecting more survivors with legal and psycho-social support. We are also raising funds under the United Nations 16 Days of Activism theme "UNITE! Invest in our women and girls." Kwanele invites individuals to contribute to this crucial mission by donating to provide immediate support, court assistance, and access to justice, enabling survivors to rebuild their lives. As the 16 Days of Activism unfold, Kwanele invites individuals to join against GBV.
