Wd 40 and rags. Or use dish soapy water just shoot it with air, let dry fast in a warm spot. Don’t sandblast, it’ll ruin the memory!

Simple green and water, rinse it well and air dry in the sun. You’ll be taking the rust off with an angle grinder anyway

sand blast it and have it powdercoated best option and the only way you're gonna get rid of the rust

start with degreaser like simple green, or TSP if that isn't cutting it. mineral spirits would work too

sand paper will get the job done before paint too. purple power or a parts cleaner, both you can get from an autoparts store. have fun with it homie
