Tried this kind and it snapped clean off in just a few days l, went right back to the old style and just live with the dents.

you can buy silicone replacement ends for the stoppers that are much squishier than the original rubber or plastic so they don't dig into the wood.

Needs a longer hinge pin though. The stock pin is barely, if at all, through the last hinge section.
