@funkeecuts: Long layers and face framing carved from nothing but a straight razor. This was a technique taught by @brenomirandahair and yesterday overseen on our models by @classiclois_hairstylist 🗡. My model Joanna had previously seen me for a similar cut, with shears this past summer, so she was the perfect canvas to revisit this shape on with my new skills. I want to thank Lo for challenging us to share our consultation with the class so we can get reassurance and feedback on our process. Walking through that uncomfortability strangely had me feeling more confident moving forward. I learned an advanced razor technique for the face framing that will give those pieces more movement with less effort when airdrying. It will also provide a seemless growout. I am getting better at removing weight just where it's needed and for a purpose to really build the shape but maintain fullness. This haircut needed no finalizing after it was dry because I was able to texturize and remove weight with the razor as I carved the shaped. We did a flat brush blowout for a sleek finish with volume using I Create Volume by Innersense. Thank you, Lo and Breno, for making me a little better class by class. ❤ #atxhair #atxhairdresser #atxsalon #longhair #longhaircut #longlayers #faceframinglayers #haircut #haircutinspo #razorcuts #atxthings #austintexas #atxthrift #atxvintage #atxfoodie #eastaustin #hairstyle #hairhealth
