We do this in Welsh, in Welsh you would say “ap” for son of, or “ferch” for daughter of. Celtic languages are just superior. 😎

Scandinavians have ie Davidsson ( Davids son ) and Davidsdotter ( Davids daughter ) the former is WAY more common but we do have some of the latter😁
